Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is actively hiring a Permanent Full Time Automotive Technician to support our Truck Fleet in Houston, Texas. The role offers a flexible 40-hour work week with weekend premiums and weekly pay at $35.00 per hour, plus a $2,000 retention bonus paid quarterly within the first year.

The position includes a company cell phone, fuel card, and mobile work vehicle for technicians. Comprehensive benefits start 30 days after hire and include health, dental, vision, life and disability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or professional diploma preferred.
• Three years or more in a combination of classroom training and work experience.
• Valid CDL A preferred; Class E license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance for non-contractual customers.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes and more.
• Diagnose or replace engine parts such as alternators, radiators, injectors and transmissions.
• Operate mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards as needed.
