Ryder System, Inc. is hiring an entry level Mobile Automotive Technician in Fayetteville, NC to support our fleet.

This full-time role includes oil changes, tire rotations, basic diagnostics, and hands-on training to develop technical skills. The position offers weekly pay, a flexible 40-hour schedule, and benefits such as medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO, 401(k) match, and tuition repayment opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Professional diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years in related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow procedures and work in a team.
• Capable of performing basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Follow standard procedures to assist with basic diagnostics and identify common issues with guidance.
• Work with a senior technician to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
• Conduct general shop or field support activities, including setup and clean-up.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and service notes.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
