Job summary

Knudtsen Foothills Mazda is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to provide on-site vehicle repair by traveling in the Knudtsen Foothills service vehicle to the customer’s location. The Mobile Tech will diagnose issues, perform repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 2+ years as an automotive technician with Ford/Lincoln experience preferred, proficiency with Ford IDS/FDRS/OASIS, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician (Ford/Lincoln experience preferred)
• Ford STARS training or ASE certifications highly desirable
• Proficiency with Ford diagnostic systems (IDS, FDRS, OASIS)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand eye-coordination
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
• Ability to pass all pre-employment testing including background check and drug screening
• Basic computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair services at customer locations, including routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements), diagnostics, and more complex repairs.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and diagnostic tests using Ford diagnostic tools (IDS/FDRS).
• Communicate clearly with customers about services performed and future maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate service and inventory records.
• Complete necessary paperwork, including service records and payment processing.
• Closely follow all safety and compliance protocols established by Ford and Knudtsen Foothills.
• Perform service department duties in the main shop when not on a Mobile Service job.
• Represent the Ford Lincoln brand with professionalism and integrity.
• Other duties as assigned.
