Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to write estimates and guide customers through repair or total loss, meeting them at their home, shop, or tow yard. This field-based role combines technical know-how with customer service, requiring on-site evaluations, virtual inspections, and clear written communication.

The role involves traveling to customer sites, interacting with body shops, and using various claims tools to complete accurate settlements.

Qualifications

• Proven customer-facing communication skills and ability to explain complex repair estimates clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise, comprehensive estimates.
• Comfortable using multiple tools and platforms for claims processing.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Field-based role estimating auto damage at customers' locations or shops.
• Lead in writing estimates and guiding customers through repair or total loss processes.
• Interact with body shops, service providers, and customers via in-person visits, phone, and email.
• Investigate casualty claims by reviewing damage and interpreting policy language to determine coverage.
• Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, and third parties in line with legal and company standards.
• Maintain accurate, timely records in the claims system and keep customers updated.
