Job summary

Koenig Equipment, a family-owned dealership serving Ohio and Indiana, seeks a trained heavy equipment technician. You will diagnose, repair, and service equipment at customer sites from a service truck, following estimates and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience, a technical school degree or equivalent, and solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; CDL is a plus and lifting 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
• 2–3 years as a heavy equipment technician, preferably on agricultural equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate vehicles and safely lift 50 lbs.
• CDL class A desirable but not required, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment at customer locations from an equipped service truck.
• Perform inspections and advise customers on findings and recommended repairs.
• Complete work per estimate and schedule; notify manager if deadlines cannot be met.
• Keep accurate time records and submit work orders after each segment.
• Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity and uptime.
