Job summary

Koenig Equipment is seeking a Mobile Response Service Technician to support customers across Johnson, Monroe, and Morgan counties in Indiana. You will diagnose equipment, inspect conditions, and perform needed repairs, all from a service truck and in customers’ locations.

The role requires a technical school degree or equivalent experience and 2–3 years of heavy equipment repair. CDL is desirable; familiarity with PFW IntelliDealer is a plus, and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
• 2–3 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, preferably on agricultural equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of multiple equipment brands.
• Ability to use PF_W IntelliDealer (PFW IntelliDealer).
• Class A CDL desirable but not required, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate.
• Notify service manager if initial diagnosis is inaccurate.
• Inspect equipment, advise customers of findings and upsell improvements.
• Complete work per estimate and schedule; communicate deltas to manager.
• Maintain accurate time records of work performed.
• Upsell additional service to maximize machine productivity.
• Ensure parts charged and unused parts returned promptly.
• Submit work orders to Service Manager after each segment.

We are currently seeking a customer-focused Mobile Response Service Technician to support our Customers and our Team in the business territory covering Johnson,, Monroe and Moran counties in Indiana. Duties:

• Conducts work independently at customer locations working out of an equipped service truck.
• Perform diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate. Notify service manager if initial diagnosis is inaccurate.
• Perform inspections on equipment advising customers of findings, recommend repairs and upsell value added improvements.
• Perform assigned work in accordance with the estimate and the schedule. If completion deadlines cannot be met, or additional work is discovered, notify the service manager immediately so a recovery plan can be developed.
• Keep accurate times records by segment on worked performed.
• Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity, reduce downtime, and add value for the customer.
• Ensure that all parts requested for the job are billed and parts not used are returned in a timely manner.
• Submit work order detail to the Service Manager immediately upon the completion of each segment.
• Help maintain company fixed assets as required.
• Attend training and KEI events to further develop skill sets.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• A technical school degree or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician with preferable experience working on agricultural equipment.
• Basic knowledge of product line, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ideal candidate will have working knowledge and/or certifications of multiple equipment brands
• Ability to use our computer operating system (PFW IntelliDealer).
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment needed for the job.
• Class \"A\" CDL desirable but not required, or the ability to get one.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
