Job summary

AIXTRON Inc. is seeking experienced on-site field service engineers to support MO CVD systems at customer sites in San Jose and Sacramento, CA.

You will coordinate technical and administrative activities, perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, and ensure high customer satisfaction. You will collect reactor data, conduct root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and provide daily or periodic updates to customers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical/mechanical/computer engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in R&D and/or production in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, warranty/service repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance, system upgrades and installation at customer sites.
• Act as liaison to provide status reports and coordinate parts availability.
• Coordinate local tech support and be main contact for account manager for status updates.
• Document all system problems and actions taken.
• Meet with customers regularly to address issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain reports on customer issues, tools status, and quality; escalate when required.
• Train less experienced staff and customer representatives on equipment operations.
