Sourcewell in Minnesota seeks a MnMTSS Grant Coordinator to provide leadership and coordination for implementing the MnMTSS framework across the district. This grant-funded role works with regional leads and district teams to build systems that improve academics, behavior, social-emotional outcomes, and student engagement.

The assignment is 179 days per Teacher Contract with additional days as needed, focusing on continuous improvement and alignment with district goals and school improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and MN teaching license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and improvement of MnMTSS across the district.
  • Attend MnMTSS pathways with the District Leadership Team.
  • Meet regularly with the Regional MnMTSS Lead.
  • Facilitate leadership teams across tiers 1–3.
  • Use data-based decisions to identify needs and monitor progress.
  • Coordinate universal screening, progress monitoring, and intervention planning.
  • Guide implementation of evidence-based practices across all tiers.
  • Build staff capacity through learning, coaching, and technical support.
  • Align MnMTSS with district goals and school improvement plans.
  • Coordinate collaboration with departments, families, and community partners.
  • Assist with resource mapping, funding alignment, and sustainability.
  • Serve as district lead for MnMTSS grant implementation and compliance.
  • Coordinate grant deliverables, timelines, reporting and documentation.
  • Develop and monitor the MnMTSS grant action plan.
  • Participate in required technical assistance and training.

TITLE: MnMTSS GRANT COORDINATOR

JOB CLASSIFICATION: TEACHER on SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT (TOSA) CLEA

JOB SUMMARY: TheMinnesota Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MnMTSS) Coordinatorprovides leadership and coordination to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the district's MnMTSS framework. This role works collaboratively with the Regional MnMTSS Lead, as well as district and school leadership teams to build systems, structures, and practices that improve academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and engagement outcomes for all students.

ASSIGNMENT: 179 Days per Teacher Contract and as assigned by supervisor. Additional days as needed. Two (2) year grant funded position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As a member of the District Leadership Team, lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the district's MnMTSS framework aligned to Minnesota Department of Educationguidance.
  • Attend MnMTSS pathways alongside the District Leadership Team
  • Meet regularly with the Regional MnMTSS Lead
  • Facilitate district and school leadership teams in establishing effective linked collaborative team structures (District Leadership Team, School Leadership Team, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 teams).
  • Support teams in using data-based decision-making processes to identify needs, monitor progress, and adjust supports.
  • Coordinate the development of district systems for universal screening, progress monitoring, intervention planning, and fidelity checks.
  • Guide implementation of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional practices across all tiers of support.
  • Build staff capacity through professional learning, coaching, and technical assistance related to MnMTSS implementation.
  • Support continuous improvement planning by aligning MnMTSS practices with district strategic goals and school improvement plans.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments, schools, families, and community partners to strengthen systems of support.
  • Assist with resource mapping, funding alignment, and sustainability planning to support MnMTSS implementation.
  • Serve as the district lead for MnMTSS grant implementation and compliance.
  • Coordinate grant deliverables, timelines, reporting, and required documentation.
  • Facilitate the development and monitoring of the district's MnMTSS grant action plan.
  • Participate in required technical assistance and training opportunities provided through the grant.
  • Attend and actively participate in the monthly MnMTSS Grant Coordinator Community of Practiceto engage in professional learning, collaboration, and problem-solving with other grant coordinators across the state.
  • Communicate grant updates, learning, and implementation priorities back to district leadership teams to support alignment and sustainability.
  • Schedule quarterly meetings with the Regional MnMTSS Lead
  • Prepare and submit required reports to funding agency
SUPERVISION OF OTHER EMPLOYEES

This position will oversee/coordinate the work of district and building level leadership teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree and MN Teaching License required.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate as a team member in a school environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to individuals and groups.
  • In depth understanding of the MnMTSS framework.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
