UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology in Seattle, WA seeks a Generalist MLS Trainee/1 for the Montlake Core Laboratory. You will perform testing across Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Coagulation and Urinalysis using automated and manual workflows, validate data in the LIS, and monitor automation systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis.
• Run quality control and maintain instrument performance.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and middleware.
• Train students and new employees in routine procedures.
• Validate results in LIS and report to providers.
