Position Details:

• Schedule: Full Time
• Shift: Day
• Location: Hinsdale, IL

Role Overview:

Responsible for the direct leadership of technical associates and possibly pre-analytic supervision. Performs all levels of general testing within the analytical laboratory, providing technical expertise and ensuring clinical relevance. Functions independently with effective communication and advanced problem-solving skills.

Team Contributions:

• Manage operational aspects of the clinical laboratory, including staff leadership.
• Oversee staff scheduling and workflow monitoring.
• Coordinate training and ensure competency assessments are completed.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and regulatory standards are met.
• Participate in reporting, inspections, quality improvement projects, and meetings.
• Oversee QC, maintenance, calibrations, validations, and documentation.
• Coordinate proficiency testing and handle laboratory reports.
• Monitor quality metrics and facilitate investigations and retraining.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and perform testing as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of MLS, MT, or MLT experience in a clinical laboratory.
• MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department.
