Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health Lakeway Lab seeks a Chemistry Lead Tech to perform and supervise a full range of laboratory tests in a high-volume clinical setting. The role includes problem resolution, quality control, and equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has MLS or Chemistry specialty and experience as a lead or with Roche analyzers; ASCP certs preferred. Monday–Friday with some weekend/holiday shifts to support patient care teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• MLS or Chemistry specialty.
• Experience as a chemistry lead or with Roche analyzers.
• ASCP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and monitors a full range of laboratory tests.
• Supervises laboratory operations.
• Assists with problem resolution and quality control.
• Handles equipment maintenance and calibration with minimal supervision.
• Maintains accurate test reporting.
• Keeps inventory of supplies and communicates with lab personnel.
• Participates in laboratory projects and education activities.
• Educates others on laboratory practices and safety.
