Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to perform diverse laboratory tests and ensure accurate reporting to pathologists and clinicians. The role emphasizes quality control, instrument maintenance and timely results.

You will work with automated systems, handle specimens, and participate in QA/QI projects while maintaining strict safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory, Life Sciences or Medical Technology is required.
• ASCP Registered preferred, or equivalent accreditation.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Prepares specimens for examination.
• Performs complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and/or bacteriological tests.
• Uses automated equipment capable of running multiple tests concurrently.
• Performs start‑up, quality control, calibration and troubleshooting on instruments.
• Assists with inventory management to maintain supplies.
• Evaluates QC/calibration results and reports patient results to providers.
• Enters results into the LIS and reports urgent results according to policy.
• Participates in QA/QI projects and continuing education.
