Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for the Core Lab at Evanston Hospital in a full-time position. The MLS will perform patient tests with both manual and automated systems, review results, and ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include quality control, instrument checks, maintaining competencies, and supporting colleagues and trainees. A BS in Biology or Chemistry and MLS (ASCP) or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry (required).
• MLS certification (ASCP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient tests using manual and automated methods.
• Reviews results and notifies appropriate personnel of critical values.
• Maintains quality control and instrument maintenance per policy.
• Ensures safety and proper handling of specimens and hazardous materials.
• Assists in training and orientation of new staff.
