Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Microbiology to join our Evanston Hospital team in Evanston, IL. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

You will perform clinical microbiology tests, calibrate instrumentation, and collaborate with lab staff to ensure accurate, timely results that guide patient care. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a laboratory science or medical technology meeting CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing.
• MT or MLS (ASCP) preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities to work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical microbiology tests under supervision to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain and calibrate multiplex instrumentation to ensure accurate results.
• Routinely resolve interdepartmental problems and communicate findings clearly.
