Job summary

Expedia Group in Seattle is seeking an Applied Science Intern (Masters) for the 2027 Summer Internship Program. You will work on ML models, contribute to real projects, and gain mentorship from senior data scientists.

The program offers cohort onboarding, learning sessions, leadership exposure, and opportunities for a full-time offer after graduation. You will collaborate across teams and build production-ready skills.

Qualifications

• Must be available to commit to the full program dates.
• Must be graduating with a Master’s degree in a technical subject between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Must have Python and/or Scala, SQL knowledge.
• Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience.
• Must be graduating from university in the same country of internship location.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and evaluate machine learning models under guidance of experienced ML scientists.
• Implement clean, maintainable model training and inference code with unit tests and reproducible experiments.
• Participate in system and data modeling for ML-powered features across APIs and data pipelines.
• Analyze data using statistical and ML techniques to improve model quality and fairness.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product partners to define success metrics.
