Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer intern to work on ML/AI research and apply findings across the engineering teams. The internship spans 12 weeks at San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York, or Seattle offices with opportunities to mentor and collaborate across the company.

You will tackle challenges in auctions, recommender systems, ranking, computer vision, and big data analytics, while writing clean code and contributing to real product experiences.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences or related field and graduating between Fall 2027 & Summer 2028.
• Mastery of at least one systems language or one ML framework.
• Experience in research and analytical problem solving.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply cutting-edge ML/AI research to real-world problems across DoorDash products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and mentor others.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to build ML models.
