Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team building the agentic guided experience for SageMaker Studio.

You will own the end-to-end development and delivery of IDE experiences, including JupyterLab and Code Editor, serving millions of data scientists, ML engineers, and developers worldwide. You will mentor engineers, define technical roadmaps, drive the design, testing, and deployment of distributed services

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering team experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks SDLC and related practices.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Interest in ML and passion for AI/ML development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software development engineers building scalable, cloud-based IDE infrastructure and experiences.
• Own the technical roadmap and strategy for IDE product areas.
• Drive design, development, testing, and deployment of distributed services powering ML development environments.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to define features and architecture.
• Work with customers, scientists, and other teams to evaluate technical feasibility and approaches.
• Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment with reliable delivery cadence.
• Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent; foster an inclusive culture.
• Ensure operational excellence across services, including on-call and security/compliance.
