Job summary

Bestgate Engineering is seeking a Cleared Machine Learning Software Engineer to advance compliance automation and analytics for government operations.

You will design and prototype ML solutions, deploy PoCs, and implement monitoring across data flows, using Python, Java, and Scala in Linux environments. A TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required, with opportunities across cloud-native and data science domains.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering experience in similar scope and complexity.
• Experience developing applications with Python, Java, and Scala in Linux environments.
• Experience with ML model development, monitoring, RF, feature engineering, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with EDA, SQL, JSON, Lucene, JEXL, Ghostmachine (Map/Reduce), and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience using Git/GitLab or Bitbucket/Stash, IntelliJ or Eclipse, Jira, Confluence, and GM Learn.
• Familiarity with agency compliance standards and producing technical documentation.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and prototype analytics tools leveraging ML to modernize compliance functions.
• Research, integrate, test, and deploy proof-of-concept solutions across government programs.
• Develop ML models, automate data processing workflows, and implement metrics and monitoring.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure reliable performance across applications and data flows.
