Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II focused on 3D perception to advance our Bird's Eye View (BEV) perception capabilities. You will develop, evaluate, and improve production ML solutions that enhance environmental understanding and system performance within Torc's autonomy stack.

The role requires strong Python and PyTorch skills, experience with perception models, and collaboration across software, infra, and autonomy teams. Hybrid/remote US work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with hands-on ML experience in CV/perception.
• Experience developing ML models for perception, robotics, or autonomous systems.
• Strong Python/PyTorch coding in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve ML models for perception systems.
• Own model development end-to-end from data prep to deployment.
• Write production-quality Python/PyTorch code for training, eval, and inference.
• Analyze model performance and troubleshoot failures to improve robustness.
• Work with multi-modal data and integrate models into production software.
• Collaborate with software, infra, and autonomy teams on deployments.
• Contribute to tooling, pipelines, and mentor junior engineers.
• Document work and decisions for knowledge sharing.
