TikTok is hiring for a role focused on building the next‑generation unified Agent system for its global e‑commerce customer service. You will work on a self‑evolving Agent loop, combining large models, multimodal learning, and cross‑domain value modeling to improve user experience and drive growth across markets.

As a graduate you will tackle bold ideas, join a team that builds the agent runtime and evaluation systems, and commit to an onboarding date by year end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Strong Python plus one of C++ / Go / Rust / Java.
• Solid ML / DL / NLP fundamentals, with hands-on experience with LLMs or agents.
• Basic statistical literacy — understand confidence intervals and p-values, and differentiate between correlation and causation.
• Able to read a paper or blog and translate it into working code.

Responsibilities

• Agent runtime development: orchestrate skills, tools, and context; implement loop control, guardrails, and safe fallback paths.
• Develop context memory for long multi-turn agents; manage memory, summarization, retrieval, and context diffs.
• Post-training data flywheel: SFT/DPO/RL to internalize rules into weights and distill to smaller models.
• Tools, Skills, and MCP governance: search, loading, and conflicts resolution in tool definitions.
• Design an evaluation framework with LLMs as judges and rigorous statistical methods.
• Build the self-evolving loop: case mining, root-cause, candidate generation, replay and canary deployment.
• Online experimentation with shadow/canary/A-B and off-policy evaluation.
