TikTok in San Jose is seeking a backend engineer to drive the next-generation AI Agent-powered growth platform for advertisers and users. You will embed AI reasoning, multimodal perception, and autonomous decision-making into the advertising lifecycle, from creation to measurement.

Responsibilities include building AI agent systems, CRM backend development, and delivering scalable enterprise-grade solutions while collaborating with Product, Operations, Sales, and Data Science teams to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with AI Agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), RAG, and Code Embedding.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build AI Agent systems.
• Back-end development of TikTok's CRM platform.
• Build enterprise-grade solutions serving millions of customers and billions in revenue.
• Create a globalized CRM system with high performance and availability across regions.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Sales, and Data Science teams to apply AI in growth metrics.
