Job summary

Expedia Group in San Jose is offering an Applied Science Intern role within the Global Summer Internship Program. You will contribute to machine learning projects, build pipelines, and prototype new techniques, collaborating with teams on meaningful business priorities.

The program emphasizes mentorship, structured onboarding, and exposure to senior leaders, with a mix of in-person and virtual sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be available to commit to the full program dates: May 24–July 30, 2027 or June 21–August 27, 2027.
• Must be graduating with a Master’s degree in a technical subject between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Must be willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance.
• Must have Python and/or Scala, SQL knowledge.
• Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience.
• Must be graduating from university in the same country of internship location.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models, build pipelines, and prototype new methods with A/B testing.
• Work on real business priorities with Expedia Group teams and present results to leaders.
