Job summary

Gehl Foods is hiring a Mixing Operator for our Walterboro, SC facility. This role runs on the 3rd shift (10pm–6:30am), blends ingredients, and checks gauges and thermometers to ensure quality and safety.

No experience is required as we provide thorough training; a background in production is a plus but not mandatory. Competitive pay, full benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous production, warehouse, or manufacturing experience a plus—but not required!
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Mix and/or blend ingredients according to recipes.
• Observe gauges, valves, and thermometers.
• Transfer ingredient lots and critical control information.
• Monitor inventory levels in batching department.
• Receive all ingredients including bulk materials.
• Perform basic analytical testings.
• Clean and run automated CIP equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts as needed.

Pay: Base + Shift differential = $21/hour (+ based on experience)

What You’ll Do

• Mix and/or blend ingredients, according to recipes
• Observe gauges, valves, and thermometers
• Responsible for properly transferring ingredient lots and other critical control information
• Monitor and review inventory levels in batching department
• Receive all ingredients including bulk materials
• Responsible for performing several basic analytical testings'
• Responsible for cleaning and running automated Clean in Place (CIP) equipment
• Safely operates forklifts as needed
