Job summary

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream in the United States Fort Wayne facility seeks a production operator to support daily manufacturing. You will wear required PPE, perform safety checks on equipment, and log batch data while monitoring controls and recipe adherence. The role emphasizes hygiene, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will also log data into Quality/SAP/Globe, participate in safety programs, and collaborate with operators and management to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• One-year related experience (preferred).
• Work environment includes wet/humid areas, high noise, cold temperatures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production line equipment.
• Obtain work schedule and daily production targets from scheduler and prioritize work.
• Answer phones, emails, voicemails and address production issues.
• Perform shift handoff and communicate line issues.
• Test safety devices and log information.
• Set machine controls according to recipe and work order.
• Pump bulk liquids and formulate batches.
• Take samples, run quality checks and email results.
• Document production data in databases (Quality / SAP / Globe).
• Rotate with Mix/Dry Blender/Receiver and complete CIP cycle.
• Maintain clean work area and end-of-shift housekeeping.
