Job summary

New England Copy Specialists (NECS) is seeking a Field Engineer to perform on-site technical work at DEX client sites. You will collaborate with Helpdesk, NOC and Project Engineering to coordinate hands-on tasks at customer locations, delivering high levels of service and technical expertise.

The role requires experience with Microsoft operating systems, AD, O365, networking, SAN, virtualization, cloud tools and cybersecurity basics, plus the ability to work under deadlines and in client-facing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field preferred.
• Experience resolving technical problems and troubleshooting in a client-server environment.
• Able to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and billable/utilization hours.
• Comfortable articulating in client-facing situations.
• Experience working in a self-directed, self-paced role; operating under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced as an engineer with Microsoft servers/workstations, AD, O365, networking, SAN, virtualization, cloud, cybersecurity, DR/backup, and SOW/BOM documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to perform reactive and proactive technical support for clients and end users.
• Respond to on-site issues across Windows Server, AD, networking and cloud platforms.
• Coordinate with Helpdesk, NOC and Project Engineering to plan on-site tasks.
• Prepare, update and follow through on SOWs, BOMs and design documents.

Join our team as a Field Engineer in our Technology Services line of business.

The Field Engineer is responsible for all on-site technical work performed at the DEX client site. The Field Engineer works closely with centralized services (Helpdesk, NOC, Project Engineering) to coordinate tasks that require physical presence where clients have office locations. This position allows you to exercise high-levels customer service and technical acumen.

• Travel to client sites to perform reactive and proactive technical support for clients and end users.
• Resolving technical issues including, but not limited to:
• Microsoft Operating Systems
• Windows Server (2008/2012/2016/2019)
• Networking – Including Routers, switches, firewalls, cloud and virtualization-based technologies
• Common Client Server Applications
• Will be on-call as necessary

Qualifications
