Job summary

Salt River Restoration is seeking an experienced Mitigation Technician to handle water damage emergencies in the Phoenix area. The role emphasizes hands-on mitigation, moisture mapping, structural drying, and maintaining site safety and documentation.

The position offers opportunities for advancement into lead technician, project management, and leadership roles as the company grows. On-call responsibilities and after-hours availability are required as part of the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of water mitigation experience required.
• IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification preferred.
• Experience with water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and moisture mapping.
• Reliable transportation to and from our operations in Chandler, Arizona.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in after-hours emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Respond to water damage emergencies and perform mitigation services.
• Perform water extraction, demolition, and removal of water-damaged materials.
• Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Perform moisture inspections, document readings, and monitor drying progress.
• Establish containment and follow proper safety procedures.
• Complete job documentation, photos, and daily reports using company software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Maintain company equipment and keep job sites clean and organized.
• Follow IICRC standards and company procedures for water mitigation and structural drying.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency losses as needed.
