Job summary

Crete United is seeking a General Manager to lead all day-to-day operations for our Missouri-area construction and service business. This hands-on leader will own safety, people leadership, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability while overseeing service, projects, construction execution, sales, estimating, field operations, and administration.

The role reports to the Regional VP of Operations and requires 10+ years in electrical or MEP contracting with proven P&L ownership,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience in electrical contracting, mechanical contracting, or MEP services.
• Proven success with P&L ownership and scaling revenue/profitability.
• Strong understanding of service operations, construction/project execution, and sales management.
• Experience leading large teams across field and office functions.
• Strong customer-facing presence with ability to win trust and grow relationships.
• Financial budgeting, forecasting, labor productivity, and margin management.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital.
• Lead service, projects, construction, and field operations to ensure execution excellence.
• Develop strategic growth plans across service, retrofit, and project lines.
• Build and mentor a leadership team across operations, sales, and support.
• Improve technician recruiting, retention, productivity, and workforce planning.
• Expand relationships with existing customers and pursue new business opportunities.
• Ensure pricing discipline, estimating accuracy, project controls, and margin protection.
• Drive safety culture and compliance across all field and office operations.
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to improve accountability and decision making.
• Collaborate with Crete United leadership and sister companies on growth initiatives.
