Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks a Mission Systems Software Stores Management Computing (SMS) manager in Berkeley, MO, to lead a team of embedded software engineers focused on mission systems. You will oversee design, development, and integration of safety-critical software, ensuring timely delivery and high quality outcomes.

You will hire, mentor, and guide staff while coordinating with system, hardware, QA, and supplier teams.

Qualifications

• Active Secret US Security Clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret post-start.
• Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role or have completed Boeing's Exploring Leadership course.
• 1 or more years of experience managing/leading diverse software teams.
• 3+ years of experience in real-time, near real-time, or embedded systems.
• 1+ years of experience working on and/or leading agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse team of embedded software engineers performing engineering and technical activities for mission systems.
• Proactively assess and manage software staffing needs; create a healthy talent and skill pipeline to meet project resource timelines.
• Drive technical planning and execution, including analyzing and responding to team agile metrics and EVM duties.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining composure and professionalism in stressful situations.
