Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Position Type: Contract

Pay Range: $114.72-$119.72 per hour

Job Description: A Mission System Architect position is available in Scottsdale, Arizona, with Moseley Technical Services. As a senior member of our technical staff, you will apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex technology development problems. You will oversee design and development processes related to physics, mathematics, engineering, and physical sciences.

Responsibilities:

• Apply satellite communications, ground-to-satellite communication, or ground operations experience
• Perform requirements analysis, system design, trade studies, integration, testing, validation, and interface studies under supervision
• Conduct technical planning, risk analysis, and supportability assessments
• Develop system requirements and allocations
• Perform detailed technical analyses for system components
• Ensure designs meet security specifications
• Participate in modeling and simulation activities
• Research data and vendor products to assess feasibility
• Generate technical engineering products following standards and processes
• Design complex frameworks or systems and resolve design weaknesses
• Possess multi-level security domain expertise
• Decompose requirements effectively and communicate impacts
• Exhibit leadership and strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical topics to diverse audiences
• Create an environment recognizing the impact of technology on business
• Apply advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s in Engineering/STEM with 10+ years of experience, or Master’s with 8+ years
• Experience with tactical data network architectures supporting SDA mission (highly preferred)
• Experience with system-level networking and coordination with WAN providers
• Proven track record of high performance and leadership
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with executives
• Previous work with Iridium, SDA, Northrup, York, Lockheed (preferred)
• Ability to manage scope and complexity effectively
• Experience with agile programs
