Overview

Axway, Inc. seeks Principal Systems Architect I (Scottsdale, AZ)

Job Description: Design and implement cloud and hybrid (mix of cloud and on-premises) based infrastructure solutions that includes both virtualized compute and storage. Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions that span the cloud and on-premises. Design and implement VPCs to deploy mission critical production applications using AWS infrastructure services. Support customer onboarding projects and work with Customers to establish Ground to Cloud connectivity. Facilitate monitoring systems and other hosting related technologies. Provide L3 support for the cloud team. Ensure all solutions comply to corporate security policies and standards. Gather design requirements from stakeholders and translate into functional and technical requirements. Automate repeatable operations activities to optimize delivery time.

Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Requirements:

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, or related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 3 years of academic studies towards any Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience.

In addition, position also requires 3 years of related experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Design, Architect, Implement and Monitor the Azure or AWS cloud platform; Data center consolidation and migration of customer workload to Cloud Platform; Kubernetes for Container Orchestration and management; Jenkins and Git automated deployment on Cloud Infrastructure and source code management; Infrastructure Monitoring of systems Linux, Windows and Visualization Insight logs via Prometheus and Grafana; Terraform for Cloud Infra structure creation and Lifecycle management using code; and Software based networking or objects and implement security by default using cloud native services and palo-alto firewall systems.
