Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Lab Technician & Test Engineer to support U.S. Air Force hardware systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronics, using lab tools to diagnose issues and document faults for continuous improvement.

You’ll perform SMT soldering, assist with depot repairs, and uphold lab safety and ESD standards. This hands-on role requires coordinating with engineers and maintaining mission-ready equipment while advancing your AMAC, 1553, and avionics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repair of hardware systems.
• Soldering of surface mount components on PCBs and wires.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of lab safety and testing procedures.
• US Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain hardware for U.S. Air Force projects.
• Troubleshoot with lab diagnostics and document faults.
• Perform component-level repairs and soldering; ensure ESD compliance.
• Maintain logs of repairs and support depot-level work when needed.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve equipment reliability.
