Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Test Engineer/Lab Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hardware for the U.S. Air Force. You will work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, use lab tools, and help ensure mission-ready equipment.

Responsibilities include soldering SMT components, cable repairs, documenting faults, and contributing to improvements while following safety and lab processes. This role offers hands-on defense industry exposure and growth.

Qualifications

• Soldering surface mount components on PCBs is required.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and test procedures.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED required; higher education is a plus.
• Experience with lab diagnostic equipment and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair custom designed electronics for the U.S. Air Force.
• Use lab diagnostic equipment to diagnose and maintain vital test hardware.
• Maintain logs of faults and repair actions and suggest improvements.
• Perform component-level repairs to keep hardware mission-ready.
• Assist with depot-level inspections and repairs per established processes.
