Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a hands-on Lab Technician and Test Engineer to rigorously test, repair, and maintain hardware, collaborating with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to ensure mission-ready equipment for the U.S. Air Force.

You'll use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and TDRs, document faults, and contribute ideas for improvements while following established lab processes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience soldering surface mount components on PCBs.
• Experience with cable repair.
• Experience with lab diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, or TDRs.
• Knowledge of lab processes and safety awareness.
• Ability to follow established processes.
• Ability to identify equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain hardware and work with developers to improve equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair custom electronics for the U.S. Air Force.
• Use lab diagnostic tools to verify Aircraft Monitor and Control Testers.
• Maintain logs of faults and repair actions.
• Perform component-level repairs to keep hardware mission-ready.
