Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Mission Planning Lead for the MACH-TB program in Huntsville. Lead test planning and execution from inception through post-mission reviews, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a high-stakes defense environment.

You will develop mission artifacts, schedules, and readiness documentation, while guiding test architecture discussions and ensuring alignment with program objectives. Significant travel and clear communication with senior leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 9+ years of experience; Master’s with 7+ years is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with significant experience leading concurrent mission operations.
• Willingness to travel frequently (25–50%).
• Experience with hypersonic flight tests or similar testbed environments.
• Familiarity with DoD standards and T&E acquisition processes.
• Experience with mission architecture and cross-classification environments.
• Excellent communication skills for briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated calm, resourceful problem solving under pressure and effective facilitation of working groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead Test Planning and Execution: oversee all mission activities from inception to post-mission reviews and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate Teams and Stakeholders: serve as a liaison with Mission Director/Test Chief Engineer; organize and lead planning and readiness review groups.
