Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Mission Planning Lead to drive test planning and execution for MACH-TB. You will oversee mission activities from inception through post-mission reviews, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure mission objectives are met.

The role requires leading complex, multi-mission operations with DoD standards, developing detailed mission artifacts, and presenting milestones to senior leadership. Travel up to 50% is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field and at least nine years of experience; master's degree with seven years preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with significant experience leading concurrent mission operations.
• Availability to travel 25-50% for required operational support.
• Experience with hypersonic flight tests, missile test programs or similar testbed environments.
• Familiarity with DoD standards, practices, acquisition processes for T&E.
• Experience with mission architecture, test configuration management, and cross-classification environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated problem solver, adaptable to challenges; capable of facilitating technical working groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead Test Planning and Execution from inception to post-mission reviews.
• Coordinate Teams and Stakeholders; liaison with Mission Director/Test Chief Engineer.
• Develop Mission Artifacts: Test Plans, MRRs, execution checklists, calendars.
• Prepare milestone reviews and present to leadership.
• Monitor progress and provide frequent status updates to program elements and leadership.
• Range coordination and travel to facilitate planning, site visits, and test execution activities.
