Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams across space and ground segments, ensuring readiness and flawless execution of on‑orbit flight operations for Blue Ring spacecraft. You will help develop operational concepts, produce critical operation products, and provide on‑console support during early on‑orbit phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree required in aerospace or related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in spacecraft operations development and on‑orbit support.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in areas including spacecraft operations product development, timeline development, telemetry trending, ground system architecture, and space‑to‑ground comms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mission planning, operations concepts, tools, and processes for real-time spaceflight operations.
• Develop detailed operations procedures, executables, telemetry displays, and documentation.
• Drive efficiency and reliability via automation and AI/ML in operations.
• Ensure quality standards and backward compatibility across platforms.
• Support test procedures, validation, and anomaly resolution for on-orbit missions.

Skills

B.S. in Aerospace, Computer Science, E

3+ years of proven experience in space

Ability to earn trust and collaborate

U.S. citizen or eligible status

Python and scripting languages

Education
