Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to join the In-Space Systems unit in Reston, VA (or Denver, CO). You will help design and execute on-orbit operations for Blue Ring spacecraft, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness and flawless mission performance.

The role requires a systems-thinking approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across space and ground segments.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical, Systems, or related field required.
• 3+ years of proven experience in spacecraft operations development and execution, including real-time on-orbit support.
• Experience with mission planning, timeline development, and analysis.
• Experience with spacecraft telemetry trending and data analysis.
• Experience with ground software architecture and space-to-ground communications.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications to ops workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mission planning, operations concepts, tools, and processes for real-time spacecraft and ground operations.
• Develop detailed procedures, telemetry displays, and technical documentation with cross-functional teams.
• Provide on-console support during on-orbit operations and early mission phases.
