Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead Mission Engineering and MSE&A capabilities at our Linthicum, MD location. This 80/20 split role blends technical execution with people leadership, driving credible, mission-focused solutions on site.

You will oversee cross-disciplinary teams, build architectural roadmaps, and ensure engineering processes meet program needs, while nurturing growth and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or related fields.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active U.S Government Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain Special Program Access.
• 1 year of experience in people management or leading engineering teams/IPTs.
• Experience in Mission Engineering, Modeling, Simulation, Experimentation & Analysis (MSE&A), or systems engineering for mission-level defense/aerospace solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead ME and MSE&A activities across a diverse program portfolio.
• Architect solutions and drive technology roadmaps; ensure alignment with mission requirements.
• Mentor engineers, manage workload, and foster collaboration across groups.
