Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads seeks a Senior Executive Director to oversee day-to-day operations across primary and secondary locations, delivering Cause-Driven leadership in staff supervision, volunteer management, and fiscal oversight. The role drives budget growth, unit membership, and program development while fostering community relations.

Leading with strategic vision, this position requires seasoned nonprofit leadership, collaboration across departments, and the ability to manage budgets

Qualifications

• Strong business operations background with a proven track record of producing growth and strong financial management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Ten or more years of successful management experience, preferably in YMCA or other nonprofit agency in health and wellness field.
• Must have previous experience working with diverse populations.
• Supervision of full and part-time employees with accountability of annual budgets.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
• Ability to lead assigned operations including staff development and supervision.
• Development and monitoring of budgets, membership and program development, financial marketing and public relations, board and volunteer development.
• YMCA Multi Team Leader certification, preferred.

• Oversee day-to-day operations and supervision of assigned locations.
• Provide Cause-Driven leadership in staff supervision, volunteer management, fiscal management, financial development, membership and program administration.
• Grow, manage and lead change of the budget and unit membership.
