Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Business Manager for San Diego Homeless Services. You will handle operations, finances, HR, contracts, and general business tasks to support TSA programs and services in San Diego.

You will coordinate with regional staff, volunteers and community members to strengthen TSA’s mission and positive image, ensuring compliance and efficient service delivery across departments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business, administrative or social work preferred; equivalent experience allowed.
• Two years of combined administrative work experience required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• General accounting or bookkeeping knowledge preferred.
• Must read/write and communicate well in English.
• California driver license; 21+ years old; DMV record check.
• Annual Fleet Program certification required; limit two violations in 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable with divisional finance.
• Handle weekly bank deposits, donations reporting and reporting.
• Submit invoices for grant reimbursements and coordinate audits.
• Oversee grant reporting and grant audits coordination.
• Manage SDHS fleet vehicles and reports; maintain inventory.
• Coordinate property, equipment maintenance, leases, and service agreements.
• Maintain property/equipment inventories and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee weekly payroll and distribute paychecks.
• Maintain employee personnel files and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate volunteer orientations and PTM trainings; track statistics.
• Ensure safety training compliance and OSHA requirements.
• Adhere to HR policies and incident reporting; maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure volunteer files include background checks and proper documentation.
