Job summary

The Junior Accountant at YWCA Princeton will maintain accurate financial records, support month-end and year-end closings, and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards in a hands-on, on-site role in Princeton, NJ.

Reporting to the Controller, you will manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare reconciliations, and assist with audits and financial reporting while upholding GAAP and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
• 2 years of experience in nonprofit accounting or similar.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are recorded in the system.
• Support month-end and year-end closings and audit preparation.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
