Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, seeks a Staff Accountant to support the Controller with financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. This role partners with the COO and HR for special reports and ensures accuracy across statements and accounts.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliation, budgeting integration, and tracking of alternative investments. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills, with 2+ years of experience.

Qualifikationen

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• General ledger accounting experience.
• Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Analyze income statements, balance sheets, and budgets to provide optimization insights.
• Generate reports on budgets, forecasts, financial plans, cash flow, and forecasts.
• Assist in development and integration of annual budgets into the accounting system.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing including reconciliations and accruals.
• Complete year-end reconciliation for alternative investments and tracking.
