Job Store Staffing is recruiting for a Senior Accountant role with a Christian educational nonprofit client. The position focuses on maintaining the general ledger, ensuring data integrity, and producing accurate financial reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field) with several years of accounting experience, including systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP. CPA is preferred and strong detail orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the requirement
• Five (5) years of relevant experience; CPA preferred
• Three (3) years of accounting system experience; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management; ability to multi-task under deadlines
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent use of spreadsheets and numeric data

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post journal entries, including re-class and monthly recurring entries
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations
• Record daily bank transactions and reconcile cash activity
• Import and reconcile data from multiple systems into the general ledger
• Assist with monthly and ad hoc financial reporting and chart of accounts
• Maintain fixed assets system and depreciation schedules
• Assist with sales tax filings and remittance where required
• Assist with audit support and preparation of Form 990 as needed
• Support Controller and VP of Finance with budgeting, forecasting and year-end audits
• Serve as back-up for AP/AR when needed
• Undertake additional duties as assigned
