Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project seeks an experienced events professional to plan and execute programs that honor and empower veterans. You will manage venue sourcing, catering, contracts, and budgets while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact events.

The role requires strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills, with a preference for nonprofit experience and CMP certification. Hybrid work options are available to support mission-driven work.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in events or meetings planning, or in a hospitality environment.
• One year of experience negotiating contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, or relevant field is required.

Responsibilities

• Support WWP Programs team with meeting and events logistics, including site selection, rate negotiation, catering, and on-site support.
• Negotiate rates with vendors, including hotels, ground transportation, and audio-visual companies.
• Create event menus and negotiate pricing and contract details with catering companies.
• Identify cost savings to maximize donor dollars and manage budgets effectively.
• Build out timelines, agendas, and activities for events.
• Utilize registration software to source venues, monitor event registration, manage budgets, and generate reports.
