Wounded Warrior Project in Chicago is seeking an Event Planning Specialist to support programs meetings and events for warriors and staff. You will handle logistics, site selection, catering, budgeting, invoices, contracts, and on-site support to maximize donor dollars.

Ideal candidates have three years of events or hospitality experience, one year negotiating contracts, and a Bachelor's degree in event planning or a related field.

• Three years of experience working in events or meetings planning, or in a hospitality environment.
• One year of experience negotiating contracts.

Responsabilidades

• Support Programs team with meeting and events logistics, including site selection, rate negotiation, catering, and on-site support.
• Negotiate rates with hotels, ground transportation, and AV vendors.
• Create event menus and negotiate pricing and contract details with caterers.
• Identify cost savings to maximize donor dollars and manage budgets.
• Build timelines, agendas, and activities for events.
• Utilize registration software to source venues, monitor registrations, manage budgets, and generate reports.
