Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project in the Tampa area is seeking an Event Planning Specialist to support meeting and event logistics for warriors and staff.

You will negotiate rates with vendors, create event menus, build timelines, manage registration and budgets using Cvent and Salesforce, and help deliver cost savings to maximize donor dollars.

The role requires 3 years in events or hospitality, 1 year negotiating contracts, a bachelor’s degree, CMP preferred, and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working in events or meetings planning, or in a hospitality environment.
• One year of experience negotiating contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, or relevant field, or equivalent combination of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Programs team with meeting and events logistics, including site selection and catering.
• Negotiate vendor rates with hotels, transportation, and AV suppliers.
• Create event menus and pricing with catering companies.
• Identify cost savings to maximize donor dollars and manage budgets.
• Coordinate timelines, agendas, and activities; manage budgets and reports using Cvent and Salesforce.
• Prepare financial reconciliations and review contracts/invoices.
