Wounded Warrior Project is seeking an Event Planning Specialist to support meetings and events for warriors and staff. You will handle logistics, site selection, catering, and on-site support to ensure smooth execution.

The role requires three years in events planning, contract negotiation experience, and a Bachelor’s degree. CMP preference and corporate/non-profit background are a plus. Washington, DC-based with up to 10% travel and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in events or meetings planning, or in hospitality.
• One year of experience negotiating contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Support Programs team with meeting and events logistics, including site selection and catering.
• Negotiate rates with hotels, ground transportation, and AV vendors.
• Create event menus and negotiate pricing and contract details.
• Identify cost savings to maximize donor dollars and manage budgets.
• Build timelines, agendas, and activities for events.
• Utilize registration software to source venues and manage registrations.
