Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking an Event Planning Specialist to support programs meetings and event planning for warriors and staff. The role involves planning logistics, administering details, onsite support, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to maximize donor dollars.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in event planning or hospitality and at least three years of events planning experience, plus one year of contract negotiation.

Qualifications

• Three years of events or meetings planning experience.
• One year of contract negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events logistics from site selection to on-site support.
• Negotiate rates with hotels, ground transportation, and AV providers.
• Create event menus and negotiate pricing with caterers.
• Identify cost savings and manage event budgets.
• Maintain registration data using Cvent and Salesforce.
