Open Door Mission in Omaha, NE is seeking a Director of Hospitality and Food Services to oversee daily kitchen operations, dining services, and food resource management, ensuring safe, nutritious meals and mission-focused service for guests and staff.

The role requires 2–5 years of kitchen management, knowledge of food safety standards, and a life in line with the organization’s Christian values. The position offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in kitchen or food service management.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.
• A visible relationship with Jesus Christ and ability to share the gospel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service.
• Develop and implement standardized recipes and portion control procedures.
• Maintain and rotate inventory utilizing FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Communicate inventory and supply needs with warehouse staff and other departments.
• Communicate Kitchen Services Coordinator to coordinate the set up and tear down of special events.
