Wellpath in Maryland is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential basic nursing care under the supervision of licensed nurses in a correctional setting. You will support patient care, document accurately, and help ensure safety and confidentiality.

Requirements include a high school diploma and completion of a Nursing Assistant training course, the ability to pass background checks and drug screens, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant training course.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to pass Public Trust clearance if needed.
• English communication skills required.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, including assistance with ADLs and accurate documentation.
• Maintain professional behavior and prioritize workflow while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with health care team and officers; participate in meetings and training.
• Demonstrate basic nursing procedures and proper use/storage of supplies.
• Assist with patient care in different units and orient new staff.
